Anger & Frustration

This is a common issue among children, especially adolescents. Sometimes it feels like a storm and comes without warning. Most of the time there may be triggers that we do not even realize. 

You child will learn frustration tolerance.

First we will identify common triggers of anger and frustration. 

  • being tired
  • negative peer interactions (or perceived negative interactions)
  • challenging academics 
  • feeling misunderstood
  • lack of control
  • hunger
  • transitions

Your child will learn coping skills. 

  • how to walk away or work it out
  • compromise or just move on
  • release anger safely
  • control anger outbursts
  • relaxation exercises
  • how to take care of self to reduce anger
